dormakaba strengthens its sustainability leadership with top ratings in 2025

Wednesday, July 2, 2025

Rümlang, 2 July 2025 – In the first half of 2025, dormakaba reaffirmed its leadership in corporate sustainability by earning top-tier ratings from some of the world’s most respected ESG evaluators. The company received the EcoVadis gold medal for the fourth time, maintained its Prime Status from ISS ESG with an improved score, maintained its AA rating from MSCI, and was again recognized by the Financial Times and Statista as one of Europe’s fastest decarbonizing companies.

In April 2025, EcoVadis – the world’s largest provider of corporate sustainability ratings – awarded dormakaba a gold medal for the fourth time. This year, dormakaba improved in all four assessed areas – environment, labor & human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement - advancing into the top 2% of over 130,000 evaluated companies globally. As one of over 1,200 multinational companies using these ratings to guide purchasing decisions, this recognition is both a badge of honor and a strong endorsement of dormakaba’s sustainability performance.

In May 2025, dormakaba again earned Prime Status in ISS ESG’s Corporate Ratings for the third time, with a score upgrade from C+ to B-, currently the highest rating awarded within its industry. This recognition maintains dormakaba’s eligibility as a responsible investment for more than 3,000 institutional investor clients of ISS. The assessment focuses on four key risk areas: resource-efficient production, occupational health and safety, product safety, and environmental impact.

dormakaba is also included once more in the Financial Times and Statista’s list of Europe’s 600 fastest decarbonizing companies, recognizing firms that have achieved the steepest reduction in greenhouse gas emissions between 2018 and 2023 while sustaining financial growth. This marks the second consecutive year dormakaba has appeared on the list.

Further strengthening its sustainability credentials, dormakaba maintained its AA rating from MSCI in March 2025, placing dormakaba among the industry leaders in managing financially relevant ESG risks and opportunities.

“Our consistent recognition by leading ESG rating agencies validates the work we have done to embed sustainability across every part of our business,” says Stephanie Ossenbach, Group Sustainability Officer at dormakaba. “This progress has only been possible through the dedication and collaboration of teams across the globe, who continue to turn our sustainability commitments into meaningful action. These achievements are a reflection of our values and our long-term strategy for creating responsible, resilient growth.”
